Sources close to LucasArts have told IGNcube that a version of the forthcoming Indiana Jones based action-adventure Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb is in development for Nintendo's next-generation console. The title is being created by software house The Collective. No release date has been given for the port.
The Emperor's Tomb follows Indy's exploits as he travels to 1935 China to retrieve a powerful artifact. The game, like Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine for PC and N64, takes place in third-person view with an emphasis on 3D puzzle solving and exploration.
LucasArts has not officially confirmed development of a GCN version of the game, though PS2 and Xbox versions have already been announced.
