Yes. I have played : IWD, BG, BGII and Neverwinter through.
NWN was kind of boring. The plot was monotonous and the quests were too small....I think BGII has been the best RPG game I`ve played. The company was a great thing and what made it more intresting -> they had their own opinions about your actions. though I think BGI had a better plot and more maps!:D

yeah i only played it a little bit cos i really messed up the pc so it didnt work any more but the plot is kinda linier and i do agree with the bgII it rocked the quests were cool the party members had more opinions and they reacted with each other which was cool bgI was good it did have a bigger map but i think bgII had the better plot now all i got to do is get throne of bhaal and see what that is like

I`ve played that too and I can say it`s great!
(Having Sarevok in your party is the best part)
Enjoy the game!

Probably NWN, but it's the only one of those mentioned that I've played extensively.

I thing Bg2 is the best ace quests exellent story line i make loads of characters and games just for fun. But the one thing that makes me slightly angry about it is the very beging when you have to make your way out of the dungeon that seriously gets on my nerves!!!!!!

yeh but the start is all part of the came it makes u confused why you are there, how you got there, and where exactly you are so you feel just like your character would

thats cos it is the part u will do the most cos every time u start a new character you have to do it then u might not like that character so you restart having to do the first bit again which i away is good cos it tests ure character b4 u get really far into the game then find out he/she is rubbish

Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 were the two best RPGs I have ever played. The character control combined with real time play was the most empowering RPG experience of my life. NWN will never live up to the Infinity Engine legacy because it does not have smooth gameplay and AI runs into walls and sticks! I want to scream every time it happens!!! Icewind dale is too linear for me, although it is good for a cheap hack and slash thrill when you are waiting for other games to be released.
Is Neverwinter Nights the only alternative loyal Infinity Engine players have? Does any other company have anything that can compete with it?
If you could take the exstensibility of NWN and combine it with BG2 gameplay, I think you would have a winner.

i agree that would be a kick a** game, NWN wasnt very smooth. NWN seems more of a hack and slash game though there is a lot to do. BG2 just rocked esp with boo and minsc lol

I think it's time that somebody in the gaming industry figured out that learning from the past is a good thing. The Baldur's gate series was a smashing success because of it's strengths. Why not look at the weaknesses of BG:II and build a new game from there?
BG:II had great play control. Play control has been an important aspect of gaming for years. Why would you go out and make a game with poorer play control as it's successor? AND WHY CAN'T I IMPORT MY OLD CHARACTERS AS PROMISED!?!?!?!?!
I think I'll stop now before I go on a full scale rant. I'm not crazy, it's the entire world around me. :extra1:

lol i know the feelin its the world thats wrong. i also think game companies should listen to its players cos then u could end up with the most kick ass game ever

like they say thew costumer is always right what we think should happen is normally what over people think should happen so why not make a huge poll some where asking the players questions on what they want the next game to be like!!!!
