Rare is gone! M$ gets it all!

IN Recent news, it has been confirmed that Microsoft has bought Rare, in my opinion, one of teh STUPIDEST MOVES NINTENDO HAS EVER MADE!

i mean really! who is stupid enought to sell 49% of one of Nintendo's best 2nd party developer!?

Uh, no it is not a stupid move by nintendo.

Rare was not worth it. It's been 2 years since there last game. They were not making any money at all. Nintendo was smart in dropping them. They are making new 2nd parties, and lot's of them.

Along with many deals with 3rd parties. A lot more usefull stuff can be accomplished with the money rather then rare.

I will miss Perfect Dark though.

It's stupid. Almost every Nintendo fanboy says something like that about Rare, ever since they left Nintendo. It's foolish.

I was never like that. Yes I will miss rare with perfect dark (not sure if I like the new style of it, but it dont matter), and conker. Anyways, I cant wait to see how they do with out nintendo's help.


But, it could be easily overcome if that money got used to get some major exclusive titles.

Tru, i have known for weeks as well, i just decided like after i while i would post it here in addition to the forum i posted it in a while ago.

anyway I think Rare will have troubles without Nintendo characters, all they have is Banjo, Jo, and Conker... although they are good, they dont have Star Fox, Donkey Kong, as well as others. And im really not that interested in Kameo(SP??)

anyway i wish them good luck, because PD was great because it was basically(among other reasons) the only FPS on the 64, ok they only good one(sans obviously Goldeneye made by Rare too), but XBOX has Halo and Halo 2 as well as probably the other Halos that will come out

Perfect Dark was great, but I liked golden eye more. Elvis the alien kinda ruined the game. And I'm kinda dont like the cartoon version of joanna.

And I think they will have more trouble then just loosing the nintendo characters. Nintendo MAJORLY helped them in everygame they done, and the major players out there left to form Free Radical and Zoonami. (In fact, the people behind perfect dark and Conker left.)

Ya, but it wasn't used with pokemon or doshin.

It's being used on the Final Fantasy games for gamecube. (Nintendo and square had to use it to make a new company to get arround sony's crap). And also Zoonami is using it. (Some ex rare guys).

And a new rumor is that Yu Suski from AM2 at sega is leaving to make a new company. (He could have something in with nintendo, or at least I hope.)
