I'm about to buy D20 modern and I want to know what you think about it. Anyone who owns the book, or has seen it, or maybe just have biases ;) .... tell me what you think about it.

It's pretty good. $40 gets you three campaign settings. However, I don't like the Wealth system or the way they do cars. Also, magic is a pain. Your characters are very limited in what they can do against it because a)Saving throws of the classes are far less than in D&D, and b) Magic items are really, really, really expensive.

If you are really interested in running a D20 setting in the modern world, I say buy it. I heard good things. Also remember there are many other companies out there, and several have published campaign books for a modern D20 campaign

Are you kidding?, it's like rifts only it doesn't suck, you can run a campaign with aliens, orcs, elder gods, all in your own home town and thats without the campaign books, it's even easy to create your own campaign, since it gives you guidelines to create your own monsters and the six basic classes are all you'll ever need, the talents system makes sure that no two strenth characters are the same. What are you waiting for?, buy it, get a group of your friends and start playing dammit.
