Well, I really enjoyed playing a half-elf paladin. He was very cool, but then my harddrive burned down, so I could not get him back *cries*. Anyway... Half-elf paladin.

Human sorcerer... Nothing packs more fireworks as sorcs too.
Got bored with the whole game though when I finally managed to create the 20lv sorc. It somehow got -too- easy and once I touch the sorcery there's no coming back to the other classes.

I agree with Skidi. I chose to play an elven sorcerer and when I had completed the game I tried to play the other classes. It wasn't as fun though so I tired...
I think I've tried every possible combo so far, but I really liked my halfling monk/rogue. Yeah, his AC sucked, but his stealth was just this side of assassin and he could do some serious damage when he got his sneak attacks off. I especially like the stunning fist followed by flurry of blows with sneak attack combo.

My elven sorcerer/ranger 11/9 Daemon Silkweave was absolutely amazing. Two weapon combat + stealth + level 6 spellcasting. Beat that.:burger:

My favorite: Elf ranger, nothing beats it!

my favorite is human cleric... strength and any other domain (usually evil - i like to rp evil clerics =D )
nothing beats the good old harm+searing light (except some spell mantles, but that can be worked on ^^)

My favorite race in anything is Elven. Elves are just allways the kewlest. My fave class is Sorcerer. I've seen my power grow steadily. At first my Sorc was a wussy, completely dependent on Grimnaw to keep me from diing. Now at lvl 9 i am getting to where i can fry things quite efficiantly. But if I finish with my Sorc I was guna try to play as an Elven ranger again. That is unless SoU comes out before hand and I decide to try the Arcane Archer.

Good thing about elf, is the elvish weapon profficiencies with longbow and longsword. Helpful if you're a druid for example, so you can use better weaponry without any real penalty.

With the expansion pack out I have to move my favorite race/class from human sorcerer to halfling bard/blackguard.
...that sure isn't most effective choice, but it does somehow offer comic relief...

Human Cleric/fighter
4 attacks, with buffs...
Online I have a painbearer of Ilmater, who can come up on 27 str w/ buffs :)
Then he has stoneskin, and a few other pretty good spells... He isn't a powerplayer though.
I also like an elven fighter/sorcerer/Arcane Archer.
My char: Arakan Gend, is great for rp value, but is weak as hell when alone, but in a group he's a dangerous guy. Arcane archers can be really good rp value, and fun to play. Same with some of the other prestige classes, and of course clerics can have a great rp value... My cleric does anyways, I just made him strong, so he wouldn't be too boring to play, because he would be weak.

Elf (Subrace Drow for the hell of it) Sorcerer
My current char:
Level 13 Sorcerer, Level 14 Red Dragon Disciple
STR: 25 (Enhanced)
DEX: 22 (Enhanced)
CON: 15
INT: 14
WIS: 8
CHA: 21
Current AC: 29
Current HP: 198
Can cast up to Level 6 spells. Doesn't need more, there are a lot of heavy hitting spells anyway.
He became a half dragon upon becoming a level 10 red dragon disciple, he's actually a suprisingly strong fighter mage. I pumped a lot into basic melee feats, so he has a natural AC of around 25 or 27, and about 190 HP. he can cast up to level 6 spells, and has a pretty high magic ability.
Thanks to the Red Dragon Disciple, he has a bit over 200 hp. He has the Ambidextarity and Improved Fighting perks, weapon finesse perk and wields a pair of rapiers, because they are the most effective small weapon and you need a small weapon to take advantage of the Finesse perk. He can damage pretty hard, ESPECIALLY with Improved Cleave, which lets him hack and slash pretty nicely. Combined with Power Attack, which is debunked by a spell that gives a high bonus to hit attack, he ROCKS.
So yeah.
My character is godly.

Haven't played the game much. It keeps on wanting to crash in radom places. But if I were to pick a Charecter class it would be Paladin.

Elven Druids, you got the Elf weapons and the druid abilities. l33tn355 personified. Also, Halfing Ranger/Rogues can get through the OC like nothing else.

Half-Elven Sorcerers, and human paladin/sorcerers. Bards are a lot of fun too, if you start them evil, give them 10 levels in Assassin, then switch back to good and use the Champion of Torm prestige class to add to your damage with your Charisma. Besides, who best to use the skills of murder for good causes than a bard who can later sing of the true evil of their victim, with none the wiser?

I don't play it that much. :walkaway: My first time I realised that Humans were like major power over the other races. I mean really, extra feats and extra skills. But I liked the thief, awesome in NWN. And the thief was better as an elf. The other prob was the small group. You get to be something and you get one other person to help. So if I am a thief I get a stinky fighter or a cleric or a sorcerer. If i am a sorcerer I need a thief. So if I try to be a thief Sorcerer, or thief cleric, I don't get to high levels. :bawl: Plus I never got out of the first chapter. Is there a better way to play it? Next I am going as a bard. Some thief skills and magic. And a relatively good fighter. Also if you are a druid or mage you can get a fighter for your group anyway with your familiar. Do bards get familiars? Sorry about all the stuff. :lost:

Hello Friend,
Yes there is a better way to play. Online is the answer. If you are a fan of RPing i suggest either joining a highly developed Persistant world (incase you don't know what a PW is go to this link http://nwn.bioware.com/players/profile_persistent_worlds_introduction.html ) . If you are looking for the best RP experience with PW's go to this link and find the right world for you. www.copap.org .If You are only interested in campaigns click this link to the left www.neverwinterconnections.com
Probably the best PW out there is Avlis but there are many other worlds out there looking for players.
Bard's a Jack of All Trades, They can basically do anything but thrive in parties. Sadley they do not get Familiars, that is a wizard/sorceror trait only

Does playing online cost extra? If so than I probably can't.

It costs nothing due to the fact everything is made by people that bought the game. If it indeed costed money i wouldn't be able to play :)

Well I've been out of country for an extended period and just recently got back. So I JUST got this game and am playing it for the first time. I'm trying to go through solo as a half-elf fighter/cleric/thief. Right now I'm only lvl 3/3/3 and am having a ball. Hopefully when I understand what I'm doing more and have more exp playing the diff. classes and races I'll join one of the online games.

I think I am going to try a Tiefling bard once. Anyone wanna guess the name? As for playing online I may try that soon. Right now though I can't because my games overheat my computer. :extra4: It just go dead. I may try a couple of my other rp character's too, like my Drow monk or sorcerer, or even paladin.(Vuz'nolu Xenshail) Or maybe my Aasimar necro. (Morcen) I will have to try it out. And a dwarven cleric sounds tempting. (Mordain)

I was always the meat shield... lvl 10 human fighter. I didn't mind it though. I'd take damage, the cleric would heal me.. and the thief and sorc would just shoot arrows and magic out form behind me...

I think after my first try all my chars went through by themself (no henchmen and no animals companions) The cheesiest of all of them was my last combo, the Elvish Bard/dragon disciple. Combine a very good attack bonus with ridiculous strength and a two bladed sword, OWNED

My first character I made on NwN was an Elven Sorceress, and she totally kicked but. Summoning spells were an absolute MUST for me to be able to survive... Then there was the tantalising option of Dragon disicple.
Naturally, I went for it. Who can resist the absolutly awesome (but totally aesthetic) wings? Just brilliant. I have about level 15 on my sorceress and 16 on my dragon disiciple at the moment (I can't tell you exactly, because I had to take NwN off my computer to fit morrowind on there, but I think I'm going to go back to NwN. Much more... better, even if it takes up a quarter of my hard drive.)
But I have to say, in agreeance with WeZil, That my character kicks butt.
Except at the moment, in the last expansion... I'm having to real pain in the ass troubles.
