Vahn you probaly dont have direct x7 or higher installed. I reccomend donwloading direct x 9 from microsoft, that should fix it up.

your puter might not beable to handle 9 then. try it with 8 I have 9, but I remember my version of d2 ran better with 8. no I dunno why
Though I do reccommend going out and purchasing Lord Of Destruction if you haven't already. That way you can play Diablo 2 right off the expansion, and you get more storage space for you items and weapons in your stash box. trust me, you'll want it, after seeing the size of the thing on the standard game. :)
the direct x url is I believe http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx

Hey, is it accessed? Go to the "flik" I´m Swedish, so I dont now what flik is in english. Sorry. But it can be that you need to turn on the draw functions. It´s the 3rd flik or something. Hey, Why do I bother. Diablo 2 sucks any way. Star Craft Rules.

If you get diablo expansion, it should have the direct draw download on it, you can access that from the menu that pops up, after you install the game, when you put the CD in and it says: Start Game... ect. Or if you plan on getting Warcraft 3, another Blizzard Title, you automaticaly download it when installing the game. If all esle fails, go to a good search engine and just search for a download, and i think you need v.7 or higher.
