What game should I get?

I just got a PS2 for christmas but my family can't afford to get me any games. I have enough money to buy 2. FFX is a must get. But what else? I was thinking Metel Gear Solid 2. Or maybe Grand Theft Auto 3. Then again Nfl Gameday looks good. I played a Demo for Devil may cry and it wasn't half bad. SO what do you guys suggest?

heh well that may be true.. but get FFX k? you won't regret it my freind.. a great battle system AND you have trouble telling cut scenes from real-time!! so if you are an FF freak. don't miss this chance my freind.. and Baldur's Gate is excellent too! Get them both I say!

They are making a Gundam game for it where you have uses for ALL the buttons and it's going to be good...unlike the Play Station one.

They already have Gundam games for PS2. And generally they suck. Theres also already games that use all the buttons, like Armored Core 2 for instance.

I just got a new game today, its called "Shadow Hearts" Its very good which surprised me, because it was produced by midway which never made any RPGs..until now. For their first try, it is a good game, well, so far at least.

Ya FFX does rock. Wakka is my fav character. I mean its like a combination of the past three final fantasy's too me. Sqaure never fails to impress me. I thought for sure after 8 the FF's would go down hill. I didn't think they would top it. But then 9 came out and boom. And now this. I hope the game doesn't get crappy later. on I also hope the plot will get better.

I would have to say Auron is my favorite character, he is so calm and cool about everything. Plus his huge sword is awesome!

Never think of FF as going downhill. They just experiment and you have to remember that. The worst FF could be followed by the best one ever made. All of them are different and thats why its still here and why a bad FF has never stopped it.

there are no bad final fantasy. Except maybe the one where u start of by falling down a sewer. Think its 3. And MQ wasn't very good. Besides that they are all awsome! And no the chrono trigger series isn't near as good as FF.

Hmm, I hated FF9.. I just plain hated it. It was to slow of pace for me! I wanted action and all it gave was random talk and walking place to place..

I've don't think that a single person can say FF7 was the worst one of the FFs or that FF7 sucked. That's like...unimaginable!

Yeah, but there are people who think FF7 sucked. Very stupid people, who I end up killing. Giving them the old Sword to the back as you put it.

Yes, FF7 was a groundbreaking classic. 8 was 2...as far as graphics. and FF9 was the finale for FF's for the PSX.

How can u hate 9? It was cool playing as differn't characters at differn't spots. And ofcourse the theif was the main character. I love theifs even though zidane looks like a girl. And lets not forget about the ending...it was the best...I could on talking about how cool it is so I'll just stop now.

Another thing, if you take the FF9 booklet out(the one that has says PlayOnline.com and is blue) and look on the back of it, it shows Eiko...errrr, not fully dressed. I always look through my little booklets once a month and I just noticed that.:alien:

I really didn't like FF9, it was like the crap of all the FF games. I liked FF8 though, because Irvine and Seifer where so damn awesome. The storyline was pretty good too.

When you wanted to play cards with Irvine, he says,"Ladies only"
He's cool. Zell was...rather a "just there" character.
Seifer is my favorite character! He's like the badass of the game!

When you beat the game, I like the cinema that shows him eating hotdogs and running out of milk(or whatever he was drinking)! Irvine gets ahold of the camera and ends up recording the girls and pisses Selphie off! Damn, that ending kicked ass!!!
