I dont know if this is much of an RPG, but its a cool game none the less. The graphics, are good, controll style is a little annoying, and the A.I. is the best out of the 3 of them. In the first two, I wouldnt of even thought of it as anything close to RPGS, but GTA3r, I kind of consider one. GTA1 and GTA2, gangs only beat up on you if you dont respect em, in GTA3, hit a gang member, if their are more around, your in for a fight, unless you have a baseball bat though. The missions are a challange, the police will run you down, and if you dont bail on your car, you die. I think it was a cool game, even if its not an RPG

DOOD THIS GAME OWNS! Although i scratched it beyond playing it like 3 days after i got it......see i stepped on the controller cord....ps2 came off the little table i have....(not very high) and the open button hit the controller opening it and letting the disc scratch across the tray.....BUT LUCKILY FOR ME I HAVE A GAMEDOCTOR DUH DUH DUH DUH!!! Me and my friend where playing and the Police ran him over in one mission, I found it funny while he spazzed out :p My favourite passtime in the game is using the baseball bat to bash mafia members, pimps, and hookers. And any other random person at the docks. I was doing a Taxi thing, and the guy got out, so I killed him and took 250$ from his dead body ^.^ Fun game

GTA3 is a good game indeed. I was always wondering where the hookers were in the game, I mean c'mon! It has gangs so where are their hookers? But thankfully, GTA3 solved that little problem.
As far as gameplay goes, it was was awesome. I love the killing. I wonder if there are cheats for it, you know, like on GTA2.
The codes were fun for GTA2, with the no cops and the constant killing!:)

3) Laundry trucks are hard to blow up, the mission where you need to kill 3, takes a long time, try to flip them or knock em in the water
4) Dont attack gang members around other gang members.
5) R3 is the Analog buttons.

cop car -_- Screw that $hit man! Go find the Fire Depot (or Bus Depot) And take one of those! Tap are car in the back and it goes flighing! But for the most havoc, use the tank cheat, tap any car and it blows up, and you can always get it no matter where you are I think... And you cant flip it either! The biggest threat in Portland in the moron in the chopper, you know, the one that gets yelled for says "Your gonna die!" And starts shooting at you... the cops take a little bit on the AR and they dead!

In Grand Theft Auto 3, you punch or kick em, they get up and fight back, untill you or they are dead, unless you run away... which takes a while. So, hell, use your baseball bat! Good way for getting away from police also... turn around, knock em down, get your stamina back, and bolt it! You can jump into them to knock em down. Funny... you punch a girl who is walking with a guy all you here is "Hey! Thats my b!tch you hitting you jack@ss!" Then the girl and guy try to kill you.... nice molitov cocktail..

Get a good car, make sure you have full health, and get a hooker and go park somewhere, it takes some waiting, but the car will start to bounce (Just try and guess whats going on in there :D) and when the hooker gets out, you should have 125 HP instead of 100 HP

in the mission where u have to use a limmo to pick up joey, luigi, and tony, how do you beat it. the limmo is to slow and fragile for the laundry vans, and they block off the exit to don salvatory's house.

Dak: Limos can take lots of damage, come to the entrance of Salvatorys from the right, take the first left you see, the turn left again, then your first right, smash right through those mother ****ing fish vans and into Salvatorys. The police dont help, dont get em on yeah! After that, the Triads will shoot you every chance they get, hell, after you start working for Toni they shoot you every chance they get, wait untill you get the War Lords mission, you have to go into Triad terratory and take out 3 Triad War Lords, one of which is in a facility you need a fish van to get into, and one to get out of. But the mission your on isnt that hard, just try to keep your back bumper on their front bumper, to give your self boosts, its only 3 fish vans, not that hard.

GTA 3 is an awesome game! I love it. I think it's cool, and I like the fact that I have so much freedom to do what I want. I like the missions, but I like the side missions too. Taking on paramedic missions, arresting criminals. Pretty cool. Have any of you managed to get your car up on the railroad in liberty city? There's some nice goodies on the roofs of buildings. Anyway, that game rocked my world.

I havent gotten onto buildings, I should take a look at where I could... the entire place is Liberty City, the 3 levels are Portland, Stautan Island, and ShoreSide Vale... I tried a Taxi side mission and failed, so I killed the guy in the back :p

I noticed the game isn't sold in the Target, or walmart here. So I think they are because of the level of violence and destruction int he game. But I don't know, they said it's being 'take off the shelf' which cold mean that Game stroes like EB, may still carry it in stock. Just family oriented placed like Walmart won't. But we'll see. You mean that lets you fly Citan? I know that cheat. You have to be in a car and going fast enough, I suggest the BF Injection, (in portalan by the Race phone) or the Cheteah (Stauntan and Shorside have em). Banshee is good to... It works like the Dodo Plane. You need speed. You know that blocked off tunnel? Ive heard on Neo Seeker that you fly into that, and you can get to a ghost island, though you cant land on it, so that kinda sucks. Me and my friends have been trying it, but we cant make it in the tunnel. Did you know in GTA3 you used to be able to steal Planes and Choppers? Then when the Trade Centers got hit, they took that out so people didnt try to act it out on GTA3, and when USA went to war, they took out the part that let you shoot Heads, legs, and arms off people. There is a cheat for that though. My friend beat the last mission and killed that bitch that shot you in the face at the beginning of the game. She is the reason the Columbian Cartels dont like you.

You know that little pill by the hospital, the drug pill...well when you take it, everything slows down and when you punch someone, it looks like the Matrix because they just start flying in the air, heh. Me and my friend found something fun to do. Jump into the back of a truck, just down throw explosives or use the flame thrower, shoot it to make it go fast (once with the sniper rifle) and drive up the street shooting people!

So I put it backwards... sorry DS :extra6: j/k. I have a problem where I always say right, left... never left, right. Whats your fav weapons DS? Mine are: BaseBall Bat, Uzi, Shotgun, AK47, M16. I like the M16 when your riding in the back of a Bobcat sawing people down on the road! And when there is a cop car behind yeah and you wanna get rid of it... or when you want the Bobcat to move fast... shoot it once or it will go BOOM.

NOTE!: LineRunners dont like Hitchhikers, dont jump on the back in Staunten. They go to length as to driving off cliffs and into water...

I bought the game already. I like jumping on cars and making everyone else go crazy by shooting their cars. I'd say the best vehicle to sit in is the pick-up truck. The back is roomy!:)

If you get on a cop car, shoot the car, input the no cops code, the cop gets back in and drives crazy! I flew all the way to Staunten, took the subway to shoreside valley, and couldn't find the subway again, lol. I just got in a Mafia car in portland, went on the downhill road(the one that starts by the entrance of Salvators place) and ended up flying all the way between the buildings, over the water, and onto Staunten. I'm traumatised by the water now, lol.

GTA 3 has a very good replay value. Most of the time, I just drive around the cities, enjoying the sites. Partaking in the enjoyment of picking up the local "women." It's a plus, when one is low on health.

When you help Phil in Rays missions, you start seeing flat beds, even more room! And they can take lots. You just hop in the back. its like an enhanced Bob Cat... Just better! LOTS OF ROOM! Use M16 on passing cop cars and cops on the street!

When you get to Shoreside Vale, and to the airport---Is there anyway to fly with that little Cesna-lookin airplane? I can only get a few feet off the ground, and then i slowly glide back down. (And that's with the 'jumping' code) Ughhh

I was tryin' for bloody 2 hours tryin' to fly from Shoreside Vale back to Stauton Island. And yes, I'm traumatized of water, too. :(

If you don't know where the airplane is---First get to the airport. It should be in the VERY back way way way past the entrance. Near the beginning of the runway. If you ever get it---err

Ahhhhh... the Dodo. No, thats more less a glider. You dont need it for anything. My friend can faly for 48 seconds in it... BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE IMPROVED HANDLING CHEAT! Use it once in a brand new file, cause on my friends game, the first time we used it (In MY file mind you!) all the pedestrians and gang members wanted to kill me... so make a new file, use the cheat, save the game, then continue your file and use it!

My friend got to 87 Taxi and hit hit a post and his car flipped :D! I was laughing while he was swearing.... it was funny. I dont like the side missions, like Rampages and Cop/Taxi/Fire/Ambulance missions. I like the straight forwards missions. I like the side missions for like... the Diablo, Yardies, and the people in Vale (from the phones in random places). I hate rampages with grendages, pistols, bats, and Uzis. If you have an AK47 or M16, get a large group, then saw em down

Flying Cars
To fly any car that is fast enough (just about any car in the game), enter the Dodo cheat, Right, R2, Circle, R1, L2, Down, L1, R1 during gameplay. Use it to fly over the bridges, or shoot someone elses car. When they run away they lose control on turns and do rolls. Very funny. Enter the code again to take it off if your tired of wrecking your cars.
Note: Fly your car like the dodo, if you press up to hard, your car falls.

How To Get To Stauton Island Before getting all the mafia missions:
ok, in order to get to stauton island before completing the mafia missions, you must turn on the dodo cheat. Once you have the dodo cheat on, get a pretty fast car, like the police car or the car by the 8-ball shop. then, go to the bridge and get past the orange cone by slowly going through the right side. Once youre in, get in the middle of the bridge, and get ready to take off! Slam the accelerator and press up on the analog so the nose goes down, once you get to the very edge, where the brigde breaks, press down slightly so the nose goes up, you should make it all the way to the next side. Stauton Island is Awesome!!

Dodo Car
Press Right, R2, Circle, R1, L2, Down, L1, R1 during gameplay. A message will confirm the code entry.

Increased Gore
Press Square, L1, Circle, Down, L1, R1, Triangle, Right, L1, X during gameplay. No confirmation message will appear on the screen. With this code you can shoot off pedestrians' arms, legs, and heads with some weapons such as the sniper rifle, assault rifle, or explosives with an increase in the overall amount of bloodleft behind. Note: Saving the game might make the effects of this code permanent.

Repair any car for free
Just park the car in the garage, walk out let the door close then walk back up to the garage and there will be a fixed car for FREE.

Get the tank
All you need is about 15 rockets and 15 grenades and some armor. Get a big truck after you get the stuff mentioned above and go the third level with the airport. Get two stars so the police will follow you to the back of the airport. Go to the Helipad with the police helicopter and get on top of it. Throw the grenades to destroy the police that will come below. Use the rockets on the pesky helicopters after you get full stars start watching the ground for tanks when they come throw a grenade to kill the guys and hurry and jump in. This is the easiest way I could figure out how to do it.

Fast Car
On portland city go to 8 balls BOMB SHOP then go right into the car sales and you will see a banchee car in a glass room smash the window with a car and hey presto you have a nice car


Hidden Packages
When you see the ROCKSTER billboard, there are usually some items nearby. On the 3 islands, hidden packages are usually found near the billboards. For every 10 hidden packages you find, you gain access to a new weapon located at your hideout, free of charge.


Police Bribe
Get 45 kills in vigilante mode to unlock a police bribe that is available in your hideout.


Easy"infinite"Run
To continue at a fast pace without fatigue, just TAP x instead of holding it down. This helps when trying to give your character EXERCISE so that he can run for a long period of time as well.


Bonus Buggy
Successfully complete the Mafia missions to unlock the Buggy. Return to the Portland and go to the Diablo parking lot (where the mission phone is located) between 19:00 to 24:00 to find the same Buggy glimpsed in Joey's garage from the Mafia mission. It will appear in the same location & change color each time.

Flying Tank
Many people have wanted to fly but you think that you can't because you are on Portland or Staunton Island. Here's a way to Fly. Put in the code for the tank.(Tip:Don't use any fast car they're to fast they keep spinning out)after the tank appears put in the Dodo car code. Now the tank is not fast enough so you will have to turn the cannon around with the right joy-stick. When the cannon is facing behind you, get on a long straight road. Start driving and firing the cannon behind you while you drive. The shots fired will give you the speed you need. You won't need to pull up, the tank will pull up on its own.
When you are in the air you need to keep firing to keep up enough speed. Now your fling you can fly as far as you want just get the hang of turning first.

Secret City
The secret city, as you may have heard over the car radio, is none other than Carser City.
To get Carser City you must beat every mission, including all hidden pakages, all unique stunts, all extra missions (Marty Chonks, D-Ice, El Burro, and King Courtey), and all raqmpages. Sounds hard, nope, just takes time. HINT: you might want to go and get the strategy guide for this.

Now to get you going on the city. It has unlimited grage space for your cars. Mr. Woopees galor. A Butt loud of Bashees, Infurnesses, And Chettas. And about five new cars. Oh, it also has the White House in it. It's about as big as Staunton Island and portland put togeter. And you can get in a special Black car and a list will pop up. THis list contains every location in the game. Pick one and the car will drive you there. No you don't have to do it. Prety cool hey.

Well after weeks of stressin' about it. It IS POSSIBLE to actually fly with the Dodo plane. (Even without the "Flying float" code) I thought it wasn't tru until i tried it myself. So heh, 100% percent tested.

It is hard to turn in the air without losing altitude but hey, you'll get used to it.

I all most beat GTA 3. Its not that hard at all. I only use the code that makes your car steer better. I almost beat it in 1 day. I love standing on a back of cars with my M16 and blowing the cops away. I use the Rocket Laucher on the helicopters. The tanks are inpossiable to destory.

I'm stuck on the mission DECOY. I had 15 secs left befor my car got totaled. I am also stuck on the one that you have to destroy the coffe houses.

Ok, I read a post on page 1, and I'm sure its been cleared up, but oh well.

The Tank (Rhino) CAN shoot cars and it can blow up cars by ramming them.

OK, I haven't got GTA3, and I haven't playyed it a lot. (2 mins, but I've watched it for an hour) but it is a kick-ass game as far as I'm concerned. Also, the controls are the same as Driver 1 and 2 so that makes it easier.

I watched my nephew (sp, I think) play it, and mind you, he has everything you can get on it, and it was awsome. He had all the weapons and cars, knew all the cheats by heart and crap. That was the coolest game I have ever seen.
