I think the game is great. It's my favorite to play right now, and I've yet to go explore bloodmoon lol.
Deffinatly my favorite RPG. I got gold edition and played it 7 days straight, racking up 64 levels and becoming the mastermind of the thieves guild and Archmage of the meges guild.

master of thieves, almost done with mages guild, almost completed main quest, finished tribunal, half through bloodmoon, and i am now a rare hunter, i collect the rarest of armors, weapons, items, rings, amulets and clothes, if i could sell all my stuff at full price, id prolly have a ***** load of money, ive definetly had at least 1,500,000 gold and i have a MASSIVE stash, oh and i also think the game is awesome lol
i love this game, i like to join morag tong and the theives guild, you are pertty much unstoppable then. i got all this great armor, wepons, spells, and magic items, it isn't even funny. of course i made my own class so i got everything i like. i love this game! the best rpg for computer and X Box so far!

yup, definatly a great game..cept after you are master of all the factions...well except fighter or theif ( can only have one ) it gets kinda dry especially when you can take vivec down ( pretty easy with Trueflame ) Havent explored the full capacity of moding the game though but there seems to be tons you can add to your game. Im just a little cautious about doing it though since i dont really know how. If anyone can help me out with mods that would be great....

Seeing as your so advanced can u tell me how on earth to beat that crazed looney, Barilzar in tribunal? He's the guy with the spell that makes you blind and over-encumbered!!! Is there a way to protect against it?

That game rocks, my man. I don't own it myself, but my friend has the Game of the Year edition for XBox and I play it every time I'm at his house or he's over here. I'm not as far as other people, I suppose, but I have a level 19 Nord with The Battle Axe of Wounds and, like, 40,000 gold. It's cool. It one of my favorite games ever.

This game would absolutely be an epic and memorable experience, if not for the pathetic battle-system and extremely lifeless NPC's.
I have GotY Edition, beat Morrowind; Tribunal; and Bloodmoon (My word of advice on Bloodmoon...do NOT become a Werewolf, because once you are on the final stage that you actually are forced to beat before you can leave, you get a ring that changes you into one without forcing you to kill someone...and you can become one anytime.)...am level 77 and completely unstoppable at anything, and can easily rape every damned thing in Tribunal without barely getting hurt, including Gaenor...and basically the leader/master or whatever it is for the particular guild/house I am part of (I have a WONDERFUL cuirass called the "Ebony Mail" that I got for becomming the Temple Leader that absolutely pwnz the shiet out of anything else in the game. I won't spoil the effects you gain from it...you'll just have to work your ass off if you want to see.). I have full Daedric armor with both shields, every Daedric weapon, and All of the helms/mask's. I have almost every single Artifact...The ones I don't have, I did have at one point, but sold them all to the Tribunal Museum.
Basically, I have done everything in that game other than all of the optional sidequests...and I haven't fealt as if I have accomplished a damn thing in this bland, cold and lifeless existance of a hero. I use the sword of Nerevar, and the entire suit that you get from the guy that had the full "Her Hand's" armor...forgot his name but you are supposed to kill him in Tribunal for Almalexia's quest...and everything else sits in my Telvanni Stronghold, and the Manor that I got for killing the bastard Necromancer in Godsreach, Mournhold...I believe it is Velas Manor (Tribunal). The reason I use the equipment I have is because it looks sweet...a flaming sword and a full enchanted suit of High Ordinator armor. I don't need to talk to the Ordinators, anyway, and I could pwn anyone that I do talk to who is offended that I am wearing the armor.
Basically, the world of Vvardenfell, and Solstheim, is far too lifeless for me. In fact, Dagoth Ur was the only damned character I actually liked, and you have to kill him...I found that being the hardest damn thing I had to do...even harder than Gaenor...because I wanted the bastard to stay alive. He was very cool. I also liked the boss of Bloobmoon a little. When you fight him, choose his strong form. The fast form turns him into a White/Snow wolf with the Deer Mask...and the strong one turns him into a Snow/White Bear with the Deer Mask...and his smart, or whatever it was, form turns him into......NOTHING. He stays the same, and fights you with his spear, instead of his claws and teeth. The difference between them all...a different prize for killing him. His smart form, obviously, gets you his crappy spear. His Wolf Form gets you a speed/agility increasing ring. His Bear form gets you an endurance/strength increasing ring. The reason I put the "/" between the two choices is because I can't remember if it gives you one or the other, or both. It's been a little while.
Gaenor was the hardest enemy to actually fight, and that guy could have beat the **** out of Dagoth Ur, and even Almalexia, with ease. He is the Half-Elf that you meet in the Temple section of Tribunal's Mournhold, who keeps asking for money. When you say no...and trust me, you will before he gives up...he get's pissed at you. Next time you come in, he won't be there anymore...where the hell did he go? Well, two days later, you'll see some short guy wearing full Ebony armor, with the helm...kinda rare...and the round-shield. When you go near this mysterious character, he reveals himself as none other than the greedy little bastard you told to go fu- oh wait...the Half-Elf you said no to. He then attacks you, and trust me, you don't want to take this guy lightly, even if you are in the High 20's of level, because he is hard.
Oh, and with Tribunal, I was pissed to see that Sotha Sil was dead, because I wanted to see him alive. Although I must admit that the Clockwork City was the coolest god damned place in that entire game. Tribunal was good, I will give that to Bethesda. Just make your characters less lifeless dammit! ><
Anyway, yeah, that's my review.

My favorite non MMO RPG. Of all time. Period.
Let's just say that my character....owns ass.
He has 100s in everything.
The only way I can level up is by commiting a crime and going to prison.
He is a master of almost every guild possible.
Full Daedric with all daedric weapons. Did I mention that each piece of armor is enchanted with the highest strength modifier possible, but constant? Did I also mention how easy it is to break weapons?
And has beaten nearly every damned quest in the game and both expansions.
Gaenor really was pretty easy to me. Wonder why. Oh, and I actually did have enough money to pay him. He just didn't believe me. lol.

He has maximum luck, thats why he's so hard
Sonulest
07-05-2004, 03:54 PM
He also has max reflect as well, so it's very hard to take his luck away. His luck is over 700, by the way.
And yes, I would imagine that Gaenor is easy with full 100 stats, especially with strength modifiers. Unfortunately I make my character completely all around. I would hate to have a guy that strong, because the game would be impossible to lose in, unless you kill someone vital to the story and save it. Even then, though, you can still win.
Even if you do not have Wraithguard to stop you from getting hurt by Sunder and Keening, you can still use them. Just equip, hit really fast, then unequip, and you can use it before it can hurt you. This is how I beat the game once without doing nearly all of the main quests. Just equip Sunder, hit the heart once, then unequip. Then equip Keening, hit the heart, unequip, then re-equip and hit again and uneqip until I hit it all seven times, then game over. I am now officially the Neraverine...but the damned Ordinators still attack meh if I wear their armor...wtf is that.
The game is too easy, and far too bugged. I don't know if you've noticed or not, but the guys that run the ships and the Silt Striders spots change every once in awhile while playing. I've been playing for so long that they are now out in the water or off of the Silt ramps a little bit, floating in the air while waiting for someone to talk to them to travel.
And again, I HATE how lifeless the NPC's are. It makes the game a completely uneventful experience...even the drunks stand there with the same damn melencholy look on their faces, as if their entire world consisted of naught but tenebrous occasions...and it makes the game REEK of bore.
If they ever turned this game MMO, then I would definately not even think of taking it off the shelves until they make the game more full of life. I mean, all MMOs have NPC's that are completely lifeless as well, but Morrowind has SO MANY NPC humanoids that it's incredibly hard not to notice this apparent turnoff. At least in my openion.

Hmm my thoughts on mirrowind.
It's a lifeless series of repetitive uninspired quests and dungeons tied together with a sorry ass string, it may be non linear but you have no alternative paths or endings to your character's "destiny". Also the world and the creatures may be a delight to explore but eventually doing nothing but walking from town to town all day gets boring and you guessed it repetitive, at least in 1 and 2 (which are equally sucky) a player could move from area to area in under a second and move if he wishes.
Also its too ****ing easy and trhe plot is nothing to brag about, but its not so bad, I give it a c, there are better non-linear rpgs out there people. Like buldar's gate, ultima 6 and 7, ultima underworld I, II, wizardry 6,7,8(which let you play the good guy, bad guy or any of the numerous alternatives, and story changes according to how you finished the previous game) and if sci fi is your thing try system shock 1 and 2 (puzzle meets fps meets rpg meets adventure), neuromancer (same formulae - fps + interactive fiction) or circuits edge (drugs, women and a chuck noriss brain chip) are all top notch pc rpgs.

it's good... but needs to have multiplayer too.... just for a lil more fun.
the only thing is that you would get all of your stuff takin away from you every time you died, and you would have no stash(Example. Diablo 2) if you were over encumbered, people would steal every thing you droped, and a list of other annoying things...the only way for a multiplayed to work would to totaly remake the game, and reflect it in sort of a diablo 2 way but only on a few details...thats all i got to say bout that....and i think they should really go ahead and do a multiplayer thing like that

the game is so freakin sweet, i cant put it down, i play it like 24/7...and i love enchanting items and wealding my own custom made kick *ss weapons...i always use azura's star it is the most valuble thing in the game, like i traped a soul in it and it was at like a value of "3 million"(one item only 3 millin...thats a crap load) but i say it is the coolest game out there right now...there is only 1 game that can measure up to it and that is Halo which i also love(starting to get a little boring though...waitin on halo 2)but thats what i think of that game...

I have this game on Xbox. It frikkin' rawks my frikkin' sawks. ^~
I have a suggestion for you guys. In Vivec, go to the temple and look up. You'll see a "moon" above which is only suspended about 200 feet from the ground. Use the levitate spell and walk your ass up there, then use Ondusi's open door. Make sure you're a powerful conjurer of things like scamps and fire atronarchs... the best is the storm atronarch for this kind of fighting. There are guards in the moon that absolutely do not want you there and will kill you if you don't have your creatures conjured. So that's the first thing you do when you get inside. Leave the fighting up to your creatures, and when the first guard is dead, steal all his weaponry. It's worth a ****load of money... go to Creeper the scamp in Caldera {I think that's it} and trade and sell until you get all the money's worth. I think it's 20 K in all.
Anyway. My piece of advice. DO IT, WHORES!
Oh, and you can turn your charrie into a vampire too ;3
-Masque
I got the best armour and 5,000,000 gold also the rarest weapon clutterbane.
The game rocks.
Sonulest

Clutterbane...rare, but sh`tty. Sword of Nerevar both looks WAY better, and straight up is a better weapon.
Also, Paris, lol. Try other things, such as basically get to lv 20 (VERY easy) and do a bunch of Daedric Ruin runs. Kill the Golden Saints and whatnot, and they usually always drop ebony or daedric weapons and/or shields. Usually they're all worth FAR over 20k...more like 100k or more. Now, the gay thing about THAT, is that NOTHING in the game has that much money. In fact, the most money ANY NPC in that game has is 10,000 gold. And only two places have that. One, the Talking Mudcrab Merchant (Near a dwarven ruins, I forgot the name, but it's on one of the cluster of islands in the near-bottom middle of the map. Look on your paper map. You can actually see the little island that the crab is on, and it's next to where the name of the ruins is on your paper map). You'll see it, just look it up if you're confused. That thing has 10,000 gold that it re-spawns every 24 hours. If you see this crab..DON'T KILL IT. I REPEAT, DO NOT KILL IT!!! It never respawns, and you'll lose the most effective way to make money in that game. It buys everything for the exact ammount that is worth (Although it can only afford to buy for 10,000...so you'll basically make 10,000 every item you sell, given its condition, as long as your item is worth more than or equal to the ammount. And you can sell it about 40+ daedric or glass items at a time if you can carry it all...drink a LOT of sujamma or whichever alcoholic beverage adds to your strength. VERY effective item..carry about 40, and use them all = kill pretty much anything in 1-5 hits...and they're cheap to buy). So yeah. If you kill it..creeper. If you want there is a merchant in Mournhold that has 10,000 gold...problem is I forgot who it was. So find it yourself! ^^
That's the thing about this game. If you're smart, you'll find ways to beat it at level...hell, 10 will work. Potions make your character own. So I suggest getting a VERY high skill in alchemy, or just make enough money to buy pretty much any potion in the game, in mass ammounts.
Ugh...far too easy and boring.

(for dagoth ur i skipped the main quest and i just collected sunder keening and wraith guard and killed dagoth ur) im not trying to boast but i just thaaught that its was cool. but now im trying to become a were-wolf
Blasphemy.

This game is superb, but the MOD's enhance the experince for me such as the Skeleton race MOD.

try the better bodies mod, and the enhanced faces mod they make the game so much more realistic
Blasphemy.

Agreed. I can never get the Crowley's manor mod to work though. =/
Sonulest
11-07-2004, 08:32 PM
The thing that would make this game absolutely kick ass, is if the NPC's had as much life as the ones in Fable.
If they were that realistic, then the game would probably be the best ever made.
Oh, and MUCH BIGGER ENEMIES!
Throw a dragon in there that takes some sort of strategy to beat, and as big as a damn Dwarven Ruins. A lot of dodging, and maybe you need to do a lot of levitating, or something to kill it. I don't know. Just SOMETHING gnarly and fun. Maybe some things like Ogres that are as big as a house. I mean, the biggest enemy n that entire game is either a storm elemental, or the Orc Generals in Lower Mournhold that you fight on a quest.
Dagoth Ur was the coolest NPC in that game, BY FAR. He kicked ass. his personality was sweet, as you engaged his final form. He was just cool...made me feel as if I accomplished something just by getting to him. As in like, yeah, it was easy as hell...but I didn't want to kill him. Literally. Getting to him was more rejuvinating then killing him, because now the game is lifeless again.
Oh, and BTW, I have a werewolf. Don't make a natural werewolf, because after too long, you'll have to kill every NPC in the game or something. Just beat Bloodmoon by following the actual quest, and you get a ring that allows you to become one anytime, without having to kill any NPC's at night. You can be one during the day as well.
MUCH better that way. VERY fast travel, if you're like in the middle of the ashlands and have no boat or silt strider. Just haul ass by running and jumping over everything. XD
Blasphemy.
11-08-2004, 05:01 AM
Son, did your game have frequent crashes, my game ran smoothly, but crashed often. As for the were wolf I 've personally never played as one, but they do sound fun.
Sonulest
11-08-2004, 12:53 PM
My game didn't crash, no. Every once in a great while..however it was slightly sketchy at times.
The Werewolves are cool to fight, but to become an actual werewolf (Not with Hircine's Ring, the one where you're actually forced to transform at night, and kill 1 NPC) is kinda lame. After awhile, you get tired of it. You'll be in the middle of a quest, and night comes, or you gotta rest, and you transform and have to go out of your way to kill someone (Has to be a Humanoid NPC. Not a Daedra, or a creature. A humanoid) before you can return, or die.
Boring as sh`t.
But with Hircine's Ring (You get it from the leader of Skaal after you're forced to kill him in the Glacier...end of Bloodmoon, pretty much) you can transform any time, and you don't have to kill anything if you don't want to. Werewolves are STRONG too!
So yeah. You chose what to be...
Dagoth
11-21-2004, 06:06 PM
im working on beating bloodmoon, but is there any way to skip to the leader? and take the ring?
Sonulest
11-22-2004, 02:32 AM
No, there's not. And believe me, the leader is nothing compared to the Giant you have to fight. And even the guy you kill to get the ring is pretty damned hard, because he becomes a werewolf, and summons like 10 more werewolves. And since they are hand-to-hand, you will fall A LOT unless you levitate or can jump REALLY high, and get stuck on something. Marksman or Destruction, or scrolls are a necessity here.
Also, when you become a werewolf, you are a lot more powerful than the other werewolves too. Although two at once may be able to take you out, you can easily dispatch one at a time, no problem. Three would be EXTREMELY hard. Werewolves are harsh because they travel in packs, and knock you down a lot because their hand-to-hand skill is like 150, and they have a LOT of strength, I think 200, and they knock you down, which is critical hit everytime they hit you while you're on the ground. And their agility and speed is INSANE, so don't even THINK about running. You have one coming after you, you better hope you can take it. Most of the time you can though...it's not that hard. Just, a lot at once is a real killer.
But the last guy is unavoidable. You are transported into the middle of the glacier on the top of the island, and you cannot leave. Scrolls of Intervention don't work. Nor do any other modes of teleportation, or anything else. Just get through it. If you don't feel ready...DO NOT SAVE ONCE YOU ARE IN THERE. Because if you're not strong enough, you may never get out. Seriously. Even if you use that life trick (On XBox...I don't know about the computer version) that allows your life regen to be like...full in 3 seconds...you WILL still die if they take all your life with one hit. If the wolves don't, the Giant certainly will.
