Ok, heres the situation. This is not something ive done before as playing online is well.....new to me. I was brought into Table top Rping, or gaming to me, about 2 years ago with DnD 3E. Have my own books and what not and have also delved into WW games which i like and Rifts which is better to me than DnD, maybe cause im a Marine who knows.

Now, the situation is this. Im a US Marine in Okinawa Japan and the group i just started with has fallen apart as 3 of the 5 of us have moved back to the states. I would like to start online rping but time is a MAD CRAP issue as i know for a fact that right now in Okinawa it is 633 pm and in my home state of Texas, it is right at 433 am. Yeah, makes hard for me to rp with people. I am a gaming nut as i enjoy rping very much, but ive never done the online gaming thing and was looking for some help. Im available on the weekends and maybe some weeknights and just for future reference if anyone has a game i can join, i love playing Psions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.:extra3:

you want to play DnD Online i suggest you play it Live with others from around the World...Atm i am playing at http://206.65.59.246/chatscarred/login.html

The Only Problem is the Campaign Setting isn't DnD but the Core Rules at DnD 3.5 which is slowly being Converted into the Settings...But the Settings is Sword and Sorcery's Ghelspad. Its not that hard to learn the setting it just takes few days maybe a week..but your more then welcome to come on over nad play with us..and the entire world..we have people from Austraila and Germany,Britian,USA everywhere...

Play-by-Post is basically the same as tabletop playing except you normally need a little better of an imagination and you usually don't have to roll very much. It's really all about ROLE playing. I was thinking I would start a small adventure (using one of d&d's official adventures) on here (specifically for beginning PBP RPers) so that I can get the hang of online DMing (and gaming for that matter) and so newbies can get used to playing online.

Oh - and a side note, Psions are my favorite classes as well. lol My first character (ever) was a Psion: Savant (pixie) who was really innocent about everything. lol I miss her - I haven't played in a few years. But yeah - what's your favorite subclass? Let's see, you're a Marine, so you probably like the Egoist or the Psychic Warrior, right?

And a little clippit - Dark Matter, this is the I don't know how many timeth I've seen you say "Download the book from the WotC website" and it's really starting to get annoying. You can't download an entire official WotC book (free) from their website. You can, however, purchase the books. They don't even offer a downloaded version because someone could hack the server and just steal it. That would make them no money and they'd be putting in more work than necessary. When you order it, they send it to you in book format. The only place you can download it is on those weird, Yank sites like Kazaa and stuff that aren't Mac friendly (although there are a few, but I have no interest in committing a crime).

So yeah, Artimis, I'll see what I can do about starting a game on here (Play-by-Post so you can log on whenever you're available, read over what's been said/done, and then post what your character says or does) and let you know when it's ready.

See ya' ...

I'll be sure to let you know about a game I may start running soon just as soon as I do. I'll start the post here, in this "Dungeons and Dragons" section of RPGC. If it's not the right place for it, the mods will move it where necessary, but you'll still see a trail leading to it.

My first character was a Savant. She can now deal up to like, 408 damage (fort. save for 204) in one round. I think it's satisfactory since I still haven't had a character who could do it with a weapon. lol ^_^ Now, however, I think I particularly like Nomads; they aren't too vicious, not entirely powerful, and they (from what I've noticed) seem to be of the more passive of the subclasses. I can't believe I was wrong, entirely about what you may like - usually, I'm pretty dead on after meeting with someone just once. Oh well, I still look forward to having you play in my demented world. (~_~) If you'll excuse me, I have an alternative matter to which I must attend.

*follows Dark Matter's lead and continues to WotC where she sees much content from the 3.5 ed material, but notes, as previously, that this is not the entire text available for purchase.* In addition to a few diagrams and a little information, there is still missing content. So yes, I do apologize for saying there are no downloads available, but I am still, according to what is written above, correct.

Thank you Vampyre God. I'm glad someone else sees it my way. Honestly, Matter, you're better off spending the money; it helps to support WotC and it also helps to know about everything being affected and in which way. Besides, the pretty pictures (in addition to the information to which you don't have access) are a big help, ALSO, when you (or your players) wanna know what something looks like.

*Shivers as she has just spoken to the God of Vampyres then attempts to gaze into his eyes to see if they're as hypnotic as many have said they are. Pixsye purposely flaunts the fact that although she is small in size, she is healthy and nearly naked - and alive.* Good evening. (~_~)

Where are you stationed in Okinawa? I am at MCAS Futenma and am also looking to run a campaign. I have been a DM for three years on several original campaigns. If you have a few people who are interested in gaming I would love to play. Send me an email at belewdw@1maw.usmc.mil I will be more likely to respond quickly from there.
