PS2 Gameshark?

I just bought one and the piece of crap doesn't work!!!! :extra6: I think I got screwed..... Can someone explain? And before KS can try to slam me with, "So you CHEAT on your games.." I thought I should say, I only USE CODES on games that I have already beaten! I never use codes the first time around! Anyway, the damn thing is messed up, it won't even read the disc that came with it! It just doesn't work at all..

Still, even just using a Gshark on a rpg you beat makes it no fun.....plus entering those horrid codes is enought to make me not get one.....

Well, the PSX game shark came with a memory card thing... if PS2 did also, you need to put that in for it to work

my friend got one with the card. there are some cool codes for FFX. but anyway did it come with a card? maybe its corrupted.

Nah, I contacted the Gameshark people and they said I got the wrong version or some crap. I have version 1.8 and I need version 2.0.. Bunch of stupid crap.

Oh, wrong version? Im not sure about PS2, but GBA and PSX, you can hook up your GameShark to the computer and DL the update onto the card.

When I wanted to use GS, I got my friend to put in the codes. He has more patience than I do. I give up after inputing the name of the game!

my friend tried to use gameshark on ff10, but because he didn't keep his characters original name, the codes didn't work because they were designed to work on tidus and yuna and son on... is that your problem?
