Shes asking if there will be more RPGs for GCN other than FF. And I don't realy know the answer to that question. Acualy, I prefere the GCN controller. Very comfortable. However, the controlers are acualy very simular in design, with only a few minor differences. Anyway, I was thinking. If FF were to come to Nintendo, do you think we may see some FF characters in the next Smash Bros? I doubt it would happen, but it would be possible if Squarsoft gave the ok. I just think it would be cool to see Tidus or Cloud kicking Pickachu's ass.

I don't think Squaresoft will leave Sony and go with Nintendo fully. Maybe they'll have it on both systems. But Sony helped Squaresoft when they went bankrupt from the Final Fantasy Movie. Sony can offer Squaresoft more than Nintendo.

x box sucks, all that are follower's of the portapal kitchen table, you guys should turn to the ps2. gamecube is fun, it's now even close to the os2, but it's still good to have.

Ok. I think I understood what you said, but Im not sure.
Anyway, here is how i think the three systems are. So far, PS2 is doing the best, with games like GTA3, FFX, and having first dibs of Silent Hill 2. XBX and GCN are running close, but I think GCN is doing better with Rouge Leader, SSB Melee, and Pikmin. Also considering that they have Metroid, Starfox, Zelda, and mario games on the way. As for XBX, all they realy have is Halo. While I hear it is a great game, they won't be able to rely on it that long. Even Dreamcast had some good games, but look were it got Sega.

they give the games an extra boost of fun or graphics or both

1. PS2

Pluses + Lots of games
+ many of them good
+ Has internet access

Minuses
- Not as Pretty as the others
- Processing power can't even blow wind at Xbox
- Has internet access?

Xbox
+ Gonna be the most upgradable (oh yah microsoft is gonna sell upgrades)
+ Sheer power
+ Nice graphics
+ Games quality varies, some great, some ummm not so great
+ Internet access looks promising

- Most Expensive
- It's microsoft and they are EVIL

Gamecube
+ They aren't just making kiddy games anymore
+ Hell, even some of the kiddy games were fun
+ Graphics can hold their own against even XBox

- Internet access questionable
- Most of the games still are kiddy games
- Not as much power as Xbox
- Almost certainly not upgradable
- No dvd



Dreamcast

+ Dirt Cheap
+ Games are dirt cheap
+ Looks better than PS2, but not quite as good as Gamecube or Xbox
+ Has Soul Caliber... other systems have to wait for Soul Caliber 2
+ Although I haven't really investigated, it can supposedly emulate any older system with a cheap boot disk you can get on eBay
+ Has internet access, Broadband too

- Umm yeah what games support broadband? I think Nfl2k2 does... no wait, nevermind.
- Lacks processing power, so on games requiring large levels to load, character and background detail often suffers
- Not made anymore, No more games
- Sega WHY Have you abandoned me?!
- I WANT A DREAMCAST TWO YOU BLOODY ***** MONKEYS!
- No Dvd (Uses HD-Roms Not DVD-Roms)
- It's never seen a FF title, only a few (5 or so) good Rpg titles

And all you PS2 fans... Don't get mad at me... Graphically Dreamcast is better than PS2. Play a title thats on both systems and You'll see what i mean.


My opinion? If you want a cheap console with a decent number of good games and want to spin people on a katar while wearing assless pants, get dreamcast. If you want a system thats powerful, beautiful, and has strong titles get Xbox or Gamecube (I think xbox is better, but if you prefer gamecubes titles go with it.) If you want to pay hundreds of dollars for more than two year old technology, top price for games, and get loads of good games. Get Playstation 2. Frankly PS2 is more situated to be compaired with dreamcast... Its debut was closer to DC's than it was to GCN's or Xbox's. You want to compair the systems on a sheer performance and potential ladder? Xbox win's Then Gamecube, followed a long ways behind by DC and PS2. In my opinion the only reason anyone would buy a PS2 now (Don't get me wrong it was a great system when it came out.) would be if you absolutely had to play the titles on it. I would be surprised if we didn't have a PS3 by Xmas next year.

Trust me... Unless nintendo gets its act together Gamecubes online will pale in comparison to Xbox. As much as I Hate microsoft... Their problem is that they try to keep things user friendly in a world where I care more about performance than ease of use. In the console world, User friendly is the first priority... You put a disk in hit power and your gaming. Microsoft is set to rule this world as much as they ruled the Operating system world. However, while they had to create the market for their product in Pc's all they have to do is seduce the market away from their competitors in Consoles. And trust me, they will do that. So long as they don't get cocky and they do keep their prices competative.

Man are you not even smart.. LOL... Gamecube has the MOST upgrades on line up than ANY of the newer systems... Have you seen the bottom of it... Have you read the NP magazine... Well.. Internet connection isn't an upgrade. It's an add-on. There is a difference... But once you find the magazine, I'd be interested in hearing more about this graphic upgrade. I'll admit i'm not certain that their aren't upgrades for it... However it would be very contrary to the marketing strategy Nintendo has used up until now... (of course they never had Microsoft as a competitor until now either).
I was speaking primarily about the ability to Upgrade the console in much the same way as you would a computer... which i'd wager Dollars to donuts microsoft already has plans in place to do as soon as something faster than Xbox starts getting press.

Okay well now that I got what your talking about in specific... Upgrades for gameplay not the system... I was confused... sorry yeah XBox wins there, but there is a graphic upgrade planned.. There isn't much information about it, but its suppose to pump up Gamecube's graphics to and better than XBox's level as XBox is now.... I'm not sure when its suppose to come out on market in USA or even if it WILL be released in the USA... they better thats all I got to say, but its planned for release in Japan next year....

Also Zeeku... back when Quake came out people said graphics couldn't get any better. There will always be graphical improvements until it reaches the point where our brains cannot distinguish between Illusion and reality... at that time, virtual harems will cause the near extinction of mankind.

Yea That is true BAS.... There were DVD playing Gamecubes in Japan and yes Zeeku remember there will ALWAYS be better.... no matter what comes out there will always be somehting in the future better.... Thats why I'm not sure about the graphic upgrade coming here, because just like the DVD playing Gamecube they might not, but I don't know why they wouldn't... I think they better damnit....

well for me
I don't even like quake so i wouldn't know
but Resident Evil will always get better in graphics as the sequels come
I am glad because its the one game that I know everything about it.

First hardly anybody have Broad band. Second, not all people who have BB will use xbox online. Third, even if they want to use it online, they have to have a router and other supplies. Plus 50 a year.
