This is a thread where people can discuss their strategy's and character development and others can either take that advise, or help you build on by giving giving a few tips.

You can also use this thread to talk about tricks to defeating the bosses or hidden secrets. (i.e. Clicking on a gem shrine with nothing in your inventory but gems, you can upgrade every one of the gems you are holding. it works :) )

Well, I played D2 for a few months and picked up a few nasty things you can do, but some of them may not work anymore, due to the new patches.
Right now I think im just gonna post some of the best eq you can get for a pk sorc.. If i can remember enough of it.
Shako (head)
Occy (weapon, not those cheap hacked rings)
Stone of jordan (1 ring, yeah I know youll be tempted to trade it, but it gives you lots of extra mana, and that become hp for a good sorc.)
Any other ring with fast cast rate
Nightsmoke (belt)
magefist (gloves)
any old ammy, but for unique, I used to use cats eye, otherwise just look for skill increasing faster cast rate.
For body armor, i used to use skullders, but there is better out there.
For a shield, lidless wall is best in my opnion, at least for a nova based sorc.
Ok after you get all this crap, yeah i know it might take awile, but most of it is pretty reasonable, just makje a sorc with 20 in her nova skill, 20 in warmth, 1 in teleport, and you can kill just about anything, 20 levels in manashield really helps too, and dont forget lightning mastery at 20.

Heres an ok PvP necro build

Skills -

20 Bone Spirit
20 Bone Spear
20 Teeth
20 Bone Prison
1 point into each curse

This will allow your Bone Spirit to have hella dmg.

Stats -
Str: Enough to wear all your eq
Dex: Enough for max block
Vit: Rest

Equipment:

Jah Shako
Vipermagi or Enigma
Magefist
Homunculus or SS (If you're planning to use Enigma, then use SS)
Trangs Belt or that belt that gives FCR
Wizard Spike
Maras Kaleidoscope or 2+ necro skills with FCR
2 Sojs
Waterwalks or any other boots with life, str, dex, fhr.

Charms -

10 PB skill charms with 30+ life.
The rest, fill in with 20 life scs and or frw.

This will allow your necro to have hella Bone Spirit Dmg 3k+, I think. 1.6k-2.4k life. This will allow you to have 105 FCR, but if you're planning on using Enigma, then go ahead. You will have less FCR but it is worth it (Trust me)

I gotta necro lvl 65 with full trang-ouls.
20 corpse
20 bone spirit
20 lower resist
20 revive
poison nova is good.
O and if ur a sorc fire skills suck so stick with nova and frozen orb and zon go with multiple shot and valkerie and more.
Pally get zeal.

Fire skills suck? Max out Fireball's synergies. 10k plus dmg right off the bat.

ok for a barb....Sigon's PwNz plus use double ShadowFang, in combo with Frenzy, in one hand and, either whirlwind or double swing on the other.
Also max out your battle cries seeing as how they keep you out of a bind sometimes.

I think we are talking about elite items here, Shadowfang dosn't even compare to a perfect ethereal Breath Of The Dieng Collosus Blade, Get rid of your sigons, its not that hard to find decent stuff, i found a ladder gaze the other day and it was of the first monster in nm Arcane.

Simple as the Iron Madien/Blood Golem techinque..only this is for escape! Very good in cow level.I'll use cows as an example.

STEP 1-Get chased by cow when you know you have no chance of surviving.
STEP 2-If you pass Bodies of cows, Revive them. Then stop and cast Decrepify to slow down the cow and summon more summons (skelies, golems, revives, ect.) or use this to buy u time to get ur body or make a tp.

I give this techinques *** (on a scale of * to *****)

for zeal pally:

max holy shield
max zeal
max sacrafice (+ dmg to zeal)
max fant
rest of the points in defiance (+ %deff to holy shield)

this way you can easily get 15k+ deff and good ATR

my pally with this build uses;

helm- CoA
armor- upped sahftstop
sheild- um'd HoZ
weapon- azurewrath
gloves- drac's grasp
ring 1- carrion/manald
ring 2- ravenfrost
boots- goreriders
belt- nos coil
ammy- i dont remeber
charms- stuff

to get items;
1. you must have some luck in your life
2. know how to trade and make deals.
3. dont fall for scams.
4. try and magic find.
5. never beg.
6. take what you have and see what you can get

i hardly ever mf but i still have good stuff, takes some time but hey.

Well anyway im still considered a newb by Forge here so i really cant help much . . . but I cant seem to stick with a character . . . why can you give some tips

first off stick with that one character and go from there with a cookie-cutter build* to get used to the game before tring differnet odd builds and to get a few items accumulated.

*means a build that everyone else does, ex. hammerdin

Passives are your best freind, up points in to them. Keep a good amout of gold, but reamber this games is not about gold. And be libral with your potions, 100 full rejvs do nothing if your dead.
