Even though it doesn't have a world map,the lvl system is pitiful, and you cant fly the airship maually.......it's a GOOD edition to the Final Fantasy series

what are you talking about? The sphere grid system is cool!!!
i agree with maj. the spere grid is so much easier than leveling up non-stop, you have to admit that, also this game has a sad ending to it, don't want to spoil anything, but if you have seen it, you would say the same thing.

at first i thought the sphere grid was a dumb idea but after playing the game for a while i started to like it and now i think it is how all future ff games should be and also customizing weapons is good too ( it's a lot better than junctioning magic and other stuff from ff8)

it shows an advancement in the ff series. i dont think we will see the world map again, since they now have the power to create the whole world and leave nothing out. eventually they'll get bigger, and bigger...

I do miss the old features like the manual airship control and level up system, but I think some of the new aspects are great like the voices on the party and the graphics. The only real complaint I have is the actual game control. I miss being able to run across the world map to my own decided destination unlike X where its preprogrammed. Sometimes this is needed when your low on items or wanna sneak ahead and grab that great weapon thats hidden away. I dont like the weapon setup or Aeon setup either. Being able to find your own aeons and hidden aeons is a sad loss, likewise to the weapons, I miss them having their own stats.

My friend---
Just told me, he dosn't wanna get (Letta' lone PLAY) FF X, due to the fact that has random encounters. He likes when you see the enemies. (Like in CT and CC) I mean c'mon---
What a stupid reason!!
That's one of the factors that make a game...an RPG. Isn't it?

The weapons are pretty cool, I mean I put stone touch on tidus and knock everything to dust in one or two hits, but you gotta admit you miss the weapons stats flaming_guru, Theres always a joy in having a maxed out weapon. So hey man, Im out of good games got any requests? P.s. I only check in every couple days. So give me a line you guys, girls, whatever I really dont know any of you yet.

FFX is an alright game, although I must say it was a little bit harder than most of the other ffs which is a good thing, although the downfall of ffx is that with the sphere grid system if you max out all the characters, they will all be the same, they will do 99999 damage with each hit, spell, and skill, so there is no real diversity unless you look at Overdrives, which makes Kimarhi almost usless cosidering he has no multi hit overdrives, another downfall is no world map and the inability to control the airship, also you can kill the last boss in under a minute if you have maxed out the sphere grid.....sad.....but the ending was great, I love unhappy endings:)

well I guess I need to throw Auron in there as useless too because he doesn't have any multi hit overdrives either:)

Auron became rather useless for me later on, but in the early parts of the game he's good to have in the party. As for Kimahri he never was that great for me I pretty much excluded him. Lancet is not as good as the earlier version in FF3 was. I pretty much stuck with Tidus Lulu and Yuna, and auron at the beggining.

What do you mean auron was useless.......he was one the strongest characters on the game......and lets not forget he was the coolest......:extra10:

yes all characters except the following become pretty useless later: Tidus, Wakka, Auron, Yuna(sometimes).

I like the game, and don't have to many problems with it. Just about all the characters specialize in certain areas, except for Kimari, who I veiw as a cusomizable character. Kimari would be so much better if they would just give him some more powerful overdrives. Then again, I havn't tried out some of the ones I got from Yenke and Biran. The Aeons seem fine to me. Also, I have read of three hidden aeons that you can get in the game, one being Seymore's Anima, another being the Magus sisters, which I beleive were a main boss in another FF game. I don't realy like the fact that you have to use item to improve your weapons and Aeons, but it dosn't bother me to much. I don't realy think the world map is that big of a loss, though I wish you could at least see the names of places besides the place you are in on the map they give you in the game. The level up system is fine, and I like the fact that you can change characters during a fight. I havn't beaten the game yet, so please do not spoil the ending for me, though I doubt anyone was going to.
