It was a usual loud and not so dark night in Seattle, the news reporters had been going crazy ever since Ares had launched and supposedly fired a new orbital defense satellite weapon on a uninhabited area of the Salish-Shide territory that left a nearly 200 ft hole in the ground that was bout as wide across as a few megacorp campuses. Ares of course denied ever authorizing a test fire of their weapon. Soon after DarkStar corporation began to receive large shipments from a unnamed company before cutting off all outside ties. Renraku on the other hand has been hiring shadow runners faster than the fixers can call them.
