Thanks to the admins, we now have this new subforum for other games!

This means that all questions/threads/comments/whatever that do NOT appropriately fit in to any of th other sections should be posted here, like World of Darkness/White Wolf Games, GURPS materials, second edition or non d20 versions of such games as Legend of the Five Rings and Seven Seas, and the eight trillion other unique games that don't really fit in.

Feel free to ask any questions regarding placement.

Bravo! I always felt that they way things were set up left a lot out. You always gotta have that "MISCELLANEOUS" section.

Right now, I am digging into Seventh Sea, and I have never played with the Role&Keep system before, so there will definately be questions on that in the future.

Also, my favorite P&P RPG is Nightbane, which is apparently a little known game, for I have met few people who have even heard of it. If anybody knows the system, I will be more than happy to start up a thread.

As always, I applaud you, Valiente, and look forward to future discussions.

^^

Glad to see that the new sub-forum is going to get some use!

I absolutely adore Seventh Seas--I'm all about the swashbuckling, LoL. Very fun game if you have a creative DM.

What's Nightbane about? Haven't heard of that one yet. I'd like to check out a few more games, like In Nominae and the Elric RPG setting, but am a little hesitant to dump money into new games, heheh.

I don't spend money on RPG books anymore. I got a $150 laptop from Ebay and my pirate friend downloads all the PDFs and gives them to me. I have about 120 books on there totalling near $1500 in value. Very cost effective.

I am really very limited in my gaming experience. If its not D&D related, Vampire, or a Palldium Books game, than I probably have never heard of it. I resisted this Seventh Sea thing, but my group was insistant on it. Of course, now that I've read the whole book twice over and have three characters ready to go, we might not ever actually get to play.

Nightbane is a Palladium game (Rifts, Palladium Fantasy, TMNT, Heroes Unlimited, and so on). Its a super hero meets horror thing set in modern times. In a desolate dimension, which mirrors Earth and the only way to get there is to travel through mirrors, evil beings of immense power called Nightlords are slowly and covertly taking over Earth. The only people who can stand againt the minions of the Nightlords are the Nightbane, once normal humans who can change shape into horrific monsters, ussually terrors from that person's own nightmares or obsessions, and wield powerful magics. The Nightbane are relentlessly hunted by the Nightlords and their human (and not-so-human) servants, as well as other evils, most specifically vampires. But the Nightbane are beginning to gather, along with other spell-casters, psychics, and wamphyrs (half-vampires), building their numbers and forces for a final conflict.

Ooooh! DUH. LOL

I am slightly familiar with Nightbane, now that I think on. I actually think a friend left his book on my shelf, heheh. Cool setting, though I've not gotten the chance yet to play in it.

I enjoyed Palladium though...nice change of pace from the d20 system.

You know, I didn't even notice this sub-forum until just tonight. I suppose that’s partially because I've not been on here in a while, and partially because I seem to have a low perception score. Anyway, I think this sub-forum is a very good idea, as it gives a space for everything else.

My friends and I picked up the corebook to the Fading Suns game a few days ago, and it seems like it'll be fun, so its good to have a place to put questions on it, if need be. Heh, the only reason we picked up the Fading Suns book was because we were looking through the GM screen for it in a used book store, and found that it had an individual fencing engine, so we decided we needed to get it for that alone. So we're suckers for dueling.
