Does anyone create their own?

Me and Principal Forge create are own RP's and it takes some time does anybody else do this? We create worlds, items, spells, and other things. We use stuff we have learned here and apply it. I personally like it better than playing an already written RP. Me and Forge use Diablo II elements, and Golden Sun like worlds and magic.

My question is does anyone else create thier own RPG's.

yea, of course they do! many people create their own rps, characters, worlds, weopons, magic, and even races. Its no different then creating your own character, and the way they look. Such as to draw you character then to describe it, then rp with it. such as I do, and make thread that come from imagination. You two deffinetly aren't the only ones to do so. And not to meantion mix games and stuff together to create your world, thats how most people do when they create everything of their own. ^-^

I love doing settings. And since when we play we do it without a system a lot of the time I usually just ask what setting the players want and then they conjure up their characters and off we go.

I've also been working on an RPG on my own but so far I haven't really nailed the core rules yet (since I want it to be simple, deadly, realistic and detailed... You can't combine those easily 8^)

(Among the fun settings we've done are a couple of postapocalyptic ones (one fantasy-post-apoc with wasteland gangs of knights instead of people with uzis) and s space opera steampunk settings. (Zeppelins in space anyone? :))

I have created my own roleplay system before. I created the rules for combat, magic, character action, character creation and so on. I created my own races, classes, and monsters. I created a world around the system, complete with countries, religions and deities, political agendas, villians and so on. Took me about 3 yrs to complete it. Will sometime play it with friends
