In Japan, you have to pay like.... 2000 yen a month to play. That's almost $120 american. And I'm canadian so that sucks even more. Why can't it cost less? WHY GOD WHY?!?!?!?!

The conversion of yen to dollars is 109 Yen to every 1 American Dollar. So we can round the figure down to $20 dollars a month, and yes I'm 100% sure about the conversion. I'm currently in a buisness class and I invested in some Japanese stocks. So when I get the stock update I have to convert it to dollars. Well, anyway.. It'll all come up to around 20 bucks a month! Thats okay! I can live with that.

they shouldn't charge at all! Keeping the servers up doesn't cost that much. Sqaure is pretty damn rich too. I mean look at blizzard. They don't charge for b.net and that's gatta cost alot considering there all those games that are on it. They might even make more if they just make the game cost like 60$. I mean poor people like me can't keep up with these monthly fees. If its over 10 a month forget about it.

I hate to burst your bubble, but it's 100 yen to the dollar...

200 yen divided by 100 = 20

So that's $20 a month, and no I'm not wrong about this. I make currency exchange my business. In Italy it's 2,000 lire to the dollar. France about 6-7 francs to the dollar... etc...

i read somewhere that it's going to cost only 10 bucks a month, just like tony hawk will, but when you go but ff 11, yout goignt o have to dish out money ,because you can only play the gaem online, you can't play it at home, so you'll have to go out and buy the modem and the harddrive, i don't know if my mom can afford all of this

I usually round it to a 100yen to every 1 dollar too, but if you're dealing with millions of dollars in conversions. If you skip that 8 yen, it can all add up.. That and my Buisness teacher would yell at me if I did that.

So yeah... I know it's not exact but it's easier to round. And in case anyone tries to bring up the fact that I said 200 / 100 = 20, that was a typo... So yeah... not too much money to play there, but I hate online games anyways. I don't like paying to play. It's dumb

I heard the price of for a month was supposed to be fairly cheap, and to buy the game was gonna be a lot less than a normal game... $15 dollars or so...

And I'm not sure, but I don't think 2000yen is equal to $120.

Yah, sorry, I skimmed thru the board and saw 2000yen as 120 dollars, and I had to say sumthing, twenty dollars sounds about right and it could been a lot less if people weren't so honest.

On the playonline when they were deciding the prices for FFOnline, they asked what you would expect to pay for a month of play, of course the majority of people put $20, I put 15 cuz that's what NeXus costs.

And that's how they decided the prices.

Hey, Aeris stop bashing me, if you noticed I added to the info you had. There is a base fee to buy the game, and a reg fee to play the game.
