I loved Grandia. I thought it was very entertaining. The main hero to me seems a little cheesy, but the humor in the story somehow made it a little more enjoyable to me. The characters are lighthearted and quirky. The storyline is nothing very advanced, but it has a sort of Secret of Atlantis type of feel. The whole story begins and seems at first to be centered around this dead race and culture that once existed and the heros need to discover the mysteries behidn it to follow his father's footsteps.

I played both Grandia 1 and Grandia 2. Grandia 2 is extremely good!!! I highly recomend you buying that game! It in my opinion, is much better then the first Grandia.

I can agree with you. The plot was weak in my view, but not bad. But the characters!! I loved the characters. Things in Grandia II were thought out much better. A good sequel.

I just rented Gradia 2 for PS2, IT IS COOOOL, i havent beat it yet im still in that one townwere you kill valamar's tounge, but so far it is kick ass cool, i like the advanced graphics and battle mode, yet they could have changed it a little, but its still cool, i espescially like "millenia's" fallen wing special, where it cuts off into animation then finishes back into regular.
im gonna go by gameshark and beat the game real quick, i am so excited to ge through the whole thing,
i recomend this game to all ps2 owners and rpg fans, and if you dont have a PS2....... GET ONE!!!

ps: notice how ryudo says Damnitt every other text.

"You call it Darkness, i call it swirling black vortex of doom."

Nope! New set of characters! Ryudo, Elena, Millenia, Roan..(I don't like Roan).. seem to be the really main focuses. Mainly Ryudo and Elena. But I looove Ryudo and Sky!! LOL Sky is just too cool.

Is it just me or does Ryudo have a striking resemblance to Heero Yuy? >_<

I've played it. I liked Grandia 2 far more then the first one, and yes Ryudo looks a lot like Heero Yuy.

I find it quite sad you would stoop to the level of using a gameshark on an rpg, especially for cause of just wanting to hurry up and beat it. Its a very sad issue i can only tell you one thing my friend....Get some proffesional help, please.

Finally!! Someone else who agrees with me!! >_<

Grandia II was better! The characters were much better, the graphics, everything, but it still kept the Grandia feel. Same movement, area, camera angles. Even the save points were the same.

Roan annoyed me to death. He was my least favorite character in the game. Whiny, bratty, and he looked like a little girl. They game could have done without that character I don't know what the characetr designing crew was thinking >_<

I know it was meant for the Dreamcast, maybe in changing it for the PS2 they aquired some bugs in the program. What kind of bugs? It it graphical bugs, or does the game get locked up?

well the bugs are,the game slows down a lot,the voices of the character in battle still echoing for along time and get mixed up with all other's voices, and yeah graphical bugs too :)

Well, grandia was one of the finest Rpg's off all time and half the fun was the 1st disk!! It all built up to going over the End of the World, And when you finally got ther eat the top adn camera panned around showing you that there was more you were like..
"Feck..There's more..?" And then it just got better, What with the whole Gaia thing and Mullen and Leen, Then Justin and Feena..
*Deep Breaths..* I like totally missed the point of this..*Cries*
I've not played Grandia 2 but i'll definately get it. I once played it at my friends house on his Dreamcast. It was good. Great voice acting but shame about it being new characters. Who wouldn't miss Gadwin and Sue..? Even..*Sniffle* Rapp.

Yah, Well thanks for listening to me rant on about pointless bull****.
