It is worth starting to play D&D?
I have actually never played D&D.
I have a 3000 points warhammer set but never played it either.
I don't like when there isn't anything happening for like2 hourse time. I usually play Console and PC games, I'm not a such a big fan of P&P game styles

Is it worth of it? Well you should see to it yourself. Find someone who plays it and ask if you can join up for some gaming session. Then just keep nodding happily during the game without making many stupid questions. Then reconsider. Would it be worth of it? Of course all would depend how good that session was.

It's very worth it. Obviously it's worth it to Admin and I since we set this forum up for that purpose. Originally this site was for D&D and pen and paper role players ONLY. Then the console gamers came along and Admin decided to let them have part of the site.. and eventually the immaturity, lack of openmindedness, and RUDE CHILDREN drove the pen and paper RPers away. We want them to come back. Thus the D&D STAYS.

Yes in my opinion D&D is worth it. It is the ultimate game. I have been an avid gamer for years, starting out with the 1st ed long ago. It is however a very involved and complex game. Unless you buy the books and/or game with a group that has them you will be completely lost. Oh yeah and buy lots of dice. :D
