From what i played with the phenoix clan, i think its like D&D, but in present time...Its alot of fun if it is played properly.

Dudes I play Rifts and it is in away like D&D but it has a technological part to it. I don't know much about rpgs but I believe it is a pen and paper.

i have been playing rifts since i was eight years old (twelve years). it is one of the better pencil&paper rpg's out their. you can get their books at any local comic/hobby store i believe. it is way better than d&d and isnt in the present. its far in the future, and it kicks massive ass. i suggest if you want a good game to go to the one that i stated above. it would be nice to get some more players in there. sup tythorn, its me, wild card, just a different user name though. sorry about the past, we cool? hows it been? not much here. you should join up in my game tythorn, i have you on my buddy list, you should fit me on yours as well. talk to me sooner or later, k?

Yea i figured it was you, being that WC and Flip had the same b-days and all. I was not sure, so I was gonna wait for you to say somthing...However, about the past, that majorly pissed me off, and i havent exacly been spreading a good word about you. But if you are willing to let bygones be bygones, so am I. I am not one to hold grudges. I accept your apology, and i apologize as well for screwin up that game. I dont know if Im gonna join one of your games right away. I will have to think about it, cause now, I feel I have to type what I say and do very carefully, to try not to set you off again. When you get a game started, I will read it, and maybe jump in later on if its alright with you. BTW, are you still in the Phenoix clan, or did you just pass it over to Misfit?...If ya did, you gonna start any new clans?...heh, I like the avatar, Tri gun is kewl...

ok dorks. rifts is a skill based rpg, yes it is pen and paper. there are well over thirty books in volved as it encompases all of earth and some dimensions. in short, the was a psychic energy surge so huge that it cause catastrophe allover the world and opened up rifts in time and space so our fightind dinos, deamons or space aliens, sooo many skills, soomany classes, soooooo many weapons over a million spells. big fan. way more simple than d&d.:extra3: fear me for i am your apocalypse:extra3:

I play a Psycho-Stalker and a Mega Juicer, the rest of my characters died though. But I don't have them online as of yet, but like it says above, I wanna play too. so PM me with some more info and I'll keep coming back here for mor postings.

It IS a P&P type RPG... (well, duh hehe)
And it is set in the far, far future of Earth after a nuclear war destroyed the planet. Because of the massive devastation, spiritual and psychokinetic energies ripped holes in space-time, called "rifts", to allow for other races from different spaces, times, planets, etc. in. And the humans now have to attempt bettering themselves through the use of technology, magic, psychic powers, and so on to avoid becoming extinct.

Okay, I'm ranting, I'll go hide back in my corner...

I'm a Glitter Boy pilot. BOOOOOM!!!!!!! You're all dead (just kidding). Rifts is good for its diversity (I'm an elf partial coversion cyborg robot pilot, or am I a Naruni alien mystic), but with all the books, occ's, rcc's, pcc's, weapons, armors, skills, magics, psionics, spells, abilities, gods, powers, etc., etc., etc... its gotten way out of hand. And the books are so unbalanced (the best possible character from book 1 would be slaughtered by a chump wussy from any earth book from South America on, and don't get me started on Phase World), its not worth getting into unless you're either rich, a genious, or completely insane (I love crazies).
