"These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated" (Thomas Paine 1776).

These powerful words once spoken by one of the great founding fathers of the United States of America had long since been forgotten through the sands of time. The common man had fallen into being ruled by tyrants, yet again, and had long since destroyed all purpose of the building blocks their forefathers had built for them. It was the year 2276, and the world had been turned upside down. Technology had gotten the better of the societies on earth, and they ended up destroying most of what they had worked so long to build. Wars raged, blood was shed, and a group called the Raeaneans had taken control of some of the last living civilizations.

Towns and cities were no longer industrious. The people were once again ignorant to what was happening around them. Children were basically brainwashed to believe what the tyrants wanted them to in school. History was basically hidden from the word and everyone only lived to work.

There was a light, however, a group who could rise against these tyrants. They lived far in the Canadian Rockys. Their children were taught the importance of free will, history, and education. Each were also trained as warriors and they possesed great knowledge that could allow them to overtake and outsmart the Raeaneans. They were the Culversians, keepers of knowledge.

Which society will overtake the other? How much war until there was peace and democracy once again? Would the world forever be stable? It is your choice, and it is your journey. Which side will you choose?

The story starts in both societies. The Raeaneans are plotting and living their monotous lives, while the Culversians find out horrible news. One of their own, the adventurous son of their well respected leader, had been taken by their enemy. Before they would resort to war, a band of messangers were sent on their long journey across the continent to try to peacefully get their "brother" back....

The Raeaneans:

Their Cities:
|-|Vesta- The city of Vesta is their main city. In it, the official headquarters is held where the masterminds plan out how to brainwash their people next. Everything there is the same. All of the houses are the same. They are two floor, two bedroom, colonial style houses. Each has a vegetable garden round back and well tended to lawns. Each family could only have two children, one of which had to be male and the other female. The people could not choose their jobs, instead it was assigned to them by the government depending on their physical and mental scores on an apptitute test. Many people were forced to join the army. Children went to school and they weren't taught history, but they were taught about the present and what they should do to be model children of this society. At eighteen, everyone was required to take a series of tests to determine their future. There were no cars, and the city was watched closely for invaiders and people trying to escape.

|-|Climentra- Clementra is much like Vesta, except it is where most of the nation's food comes from. A lot of the people were farmers. Also a lot of people here were tailors because of the different plants they grew there.

Jobs and Types of people:
|-| A committe of men and women were carefully selected to work under the tyrannous Raeanean leaders. They had to be devoted, quick thinkers, and great in military areas.
|-| Most people adopted a trade, once they were tested. Most were:
-----Cooks and Farmers: Most lived in Climentra and farmed all sorts of food that they usually ended up preparing themselves.
-----Doctors: Very few intelligent people became doctors, and they resided in both Climentra and Vesta
-----Tailors and Tanners: They made most of the clothing and uniforms throughout both cities. They mainly worked in Climentra, though.
-----Traders: Traders were responsible for bringing good back and forth between each of the cities. They were constantly in danger for if they ran off they would be killed on sight. Also, the Culversians would often intercept them and take the trader hostage.
-----Smiths: Those who were the master of the forge usually made the cities weapons, armour, buildings, ect.
-----Miners: Miners got the horrible job. They had to go deep into dark caves in order to supply fuel for the cities.
-----The Military: Most boys were drafted into the military to help strengthen the nations growing army.
-----School Teachers: They had to be be thoroughly checked to make sure they were teaching the required material and not sticking in lies that could help start a rebellion.
-----Other Jobs: There were many, many other jobs in every skill area imaginable.

The Culversians:

Their Culture: The Culversians could be mostly compared to the tribes that once roamed Africa. Their society is a matriach, meaning it is run by a woman. They live in a collective community so all of their crop and goods are shared. Everyone looks out for each other and they value family and tradition over wealth and power. Decisions are made during tribe meetings in which the eldest man and the eldest woman of each family is invited to join. Everyone's voice is heard and they use a talking stick during the meetings. Everyone respects ine another as they speak, and if they don't it is highly frowned upon. Usually a child took on the trade of his or her parents, who taught them much needed skills. They all went to school, and the true history of the land was told to them, and they were told of their purpose and what was happening elsewhere.

Please PM this to me:

Username: RPG Chat Username
Character Name: Please try to be creative with the names.
Age: Please, I do not want anyone younger than twelve in this rp unless they are one of your character's family members and they don't play a huge part.
Appearance: Please be descriptive in your depiction of your character. Pictures are allowed, but please no characters with tails and magical powers, we are looking for realistic people here.
Personality: This is probably the most important bit of information you can provide. The way a person acts is very key to a good roleplay. Please don't make your character perfect, and remember where they come from.
Biography (optional): I thought I should include this because a biography isn't necessary, but some people like to add it.
What side is he/she on? Raeanean ot Culversian? Please I don't want there to be a million Culversians and only one Raeanean.
Job/Skills: Can they wield a sword, cook really good food, tell great jokes, or are they a great source of knowledge?
Role: Who are they in the roleplay? Are they one of the group sent to rescue their "brother"? Are they a regualar Joe wanting to make a difference? Or are they a tyrannical mastermind, hoping to completely rule the world?

She is a little too determined, however, making her blind to the finer things in life.

Personality: He is quite kind and rebellious of what he was forced into. His whole goal was to re-educate students about how they were being brainwashed. He, of course, was fired and exiled. He is strong in the mind and in the body, but he has yet to understand what family is. He is very loyal, and he always justifies his actions. His mood is like a roller coaster ride and nobody ever really knows what he is feeling.
Biography (optional): His past is also unknown, right now, but the only clue I shall give you is that he once knew Céibhionn when they were young children.
What side is he/she on? Reaenean
