In December of 2009, Nexus Incorporated and Bertelsmann AG were mega-merged to form Nexus Bertelsmann, or Nexus-Bertel for short. Due to the merge, Nexus Bertelsmann inherited both Nexus and Bertelmann assets worldwide.

The mega-merge was formally announced in February of 2009. Nexus Bertelsmann relocated their US Headquarters to a brand new building in New York City.

As of today, Nexus Bertelsmann is the second largest global media giant after AOL Time Warner, and the world's most international mega corporation. In April of 2009, Nexus Bertelmann entered into a joint venture with TALOS Homer Publishing House and is currently foreseeing further joint ventures with TALOS.
