He smirked. "That's fine by me. As long as I get the most kills I could care less who comes with me." He was now reclining even further in his chair and his his boots placed on top of table.

"Well? Are you all a bunch of mutes? Speak up! The sooner we get goin' the sooner we can find the two love birds. Get back here let them get married and have saki. Personally I think that's a very good plan."

Xiao Qiao was back in the Wu Forest, but she had taken a different route. Her leather boots splashed the mud as she ran and she had a feeling that maybe Zhou Yu was at Luo Yang. Maybe Dong Zhuo had captured him. If that was the case, she'd have to bail him out.

Off in the distance, was Dong Zhuo's castle. When Xiao and her sister were captured, she remembered how she got out and now maybe she can remember how to get back in without getting caught by him.

Her concentration soon broke when Xiao Qiao came to the unstabled bridge that led to the castle. She couldn't stand these, but since she was athletic, she knew she could get across. Below her was the running river and if she fell, she would lose her route of Luo Yang and be headed towards the Nanman's home in the Nanman region.

Slowly, she started making her way across, she began to lose a little bit of her balance. Then the bridge started to crumble behind her and Xiao held onto the rope as one side fell to the depths. That meant that she was going to be plummeting to the depths below as well, if she didn't hurry. The bridge shook even more and soon she lost her balance and she fell to the side of it, still hanging onto the rope. Xiao Qiao was now hanging by her arms, as her entire body dangled below her. " Help!!!" She screamed, trying to hold on.

For moments, she tried to make her way across, but couldn't move. She was stuck on a rope and was going to fall into the river. It was about a 50 foot drop and if the water was shallow, she was going to die. Hopefully it was high water without a bunch of rocks either. She continued to scream and her hands were gripping as tight as she could and gradually her hands were started to slip.

Gan Ning was growing impatient.

"OK, who ever is going with me to find Xiao Qiao come with me," he said, breaking the silence. "If we move now we may be able to find her by nightfall."

Walking outside he saddled up his horse and hoisted himself onto it. He gripped Rivermaster and sheated the big-bladed sword on the scabbard which he had slung across his back.

Lu Meng slowly walked up and grabbed his White Tiger. He saddles his horse, he saw Gan Ning at full galop down the road, Lu Meng kicked his horse on, they needed to find Xiao Qiao. As he caught up he asked "Where is Zhou Yu? If we can find him, we can find Xiao Qiao." He held White Tiger in his left hand as he used his right to steer his horse.

Gan Ning turned and yelled over his shoulder, "Try and keep up, old man! We're lookin' for them both but you may be right."

He hoped this search wouldn't take too long. But he had a mission to do and Gan Ning was not one to forget a mission. Besides it was either that or be bored. He sighed. Today was going to be a long ride.

"Hahaha" Lu Meng simply laughed, Gan Ning was too childish, he was actually trying to race.. but Lu Meng kept his mind of the mission, he didnt want to get sidetracked, and distracted, then killed. "If i was a Wu prince where would i be..."

"If you were a Wu prince," Gan Ning said, "you'd be at the palace being pampered by servants and people willin' to lick your toes."

He noticed that they were getting closer to Dong Zhuo's palace. He heard a faint noise.

"Lu Meng! Do you hear somethin'?" he yelled. "I hear someone screamin'!"

A smart answer, "So that must mean that he was kidnapped and is somewhere against his will.." He turned his head swiftly to the right as he herd the sound that Gan Ning was mentioning."Yes I heard it....it sounds like a woman." He turned his horse and ran full galop to the direction of the scream with his blade ready to strike. He saw to his left Dong Zhuo's castle. This was all fitting together now.."Hurry Gan Ning, not much time!"

Gan Ning drew Rivermaster and kicked his horse into a full trot. His eyes roved around the area.

"I wonder who it could be?" he asked. "Could it be Xiao Qiao?"

Xiao suddenly heard the sound of trotting horses. She hoped it wasn't an enemy of other forces, but she needed to call out anyway. " Hey! Hello?! Whoever's there, please help!" She screamed. The bridge was about to collapsed and the rope she was hanging on was shortening in length as her hands began to grow tired. " I'm going to fall..." She said quietly, staring at the running water.

Lu Meng heard the voices, he couldnt quite make out what they were saying, but he knew whatever it was..it was in trouble, Lu Meng wasnt one to leave someone alone if they were in trouble. "Gan Ning this way!" He steered his horse a little to the right and he arrived at a broken bridge. He saw a beautiful madien holding on to a rope nearly 50 feet below. He threw his White Tiger to the side and yelled down there "Dont worry you're going to be just fine, we are here to help you!" He didnt know who it was yet, but he was going to help her anyways. "Help me pull her up Gan Ning.."

Gan Ning jumped off of his horse and grasped the rope. Planting both feet he began to to on the rope.

"Think there might be some award for this?" he asked, gritting his teeth.

Xiao Qiao looked up and saw two men pulling her up. Her eyes winced upon their figures for a bit until she finally discovered who it was. " Lu Meng and Gan Ning... Oh no! They must be here to take me back to the mansion. Sun Jian is going to kill me. But I can't jump off now, or I'll die. Maybe I can make some kind of deal with them to let me go on..." She said in thought. She continued to grasp the rope with all her might as they both pulled her up from the rocky cliffs below.

At last they pulled up the girl. To his astonishment it was who they have been looking for the whole time. "Xiao Qiao.." He lauhed a little at Gan Ning remark and how ironic it was. "Yes Gan Ning their will be a reward.." he directed his gaze to the girl."Come now we must return to the palace, Sun Jian is looking for you!" He mounted his horse and waited for her to jump on.

Xiao Qiao thanked the two Wu Generals. " You, guys, are my saviors, but do I have to go back?" She said worried. " I guess it'll happen sooner or later..."

She mounted the horse and held onto Lu Meng as they galloped back to the castle.

Gan Ning looked at her.

"Crap," he muttered. "Here I was thinkin' that we'd find some young virgin who'd toss herself at me." He cursed some more. "Yes you have to go back. Together we will help you find Zhou Yu. You have my word. Although I doubt that that means anythin' to you."

He kicked his horse to make it move faster.

Soon enough they arrived at the Wu Palace and they dismounted his horse. "This way my lady." He helped her off the horse and opened the door to the palace for her, her fate rest in their hands.

Nan Ning hopped off of his horse and followed Lu Meng. What lie was he going to tell Sun Jian?

He placed both hands on the back of his head and tried to look casual.

As soon as they stepped through the door, everyone appraised Lu Meng and Gan Ning for finding Xiao Qiao. Although, Sun Jian, who sat at the end of the table, was not amused. He looked so pissed, that he could go into a rampage at any moment.

Xiao walked towards him, looking innocent, but he wasn't buying it. " Xiao Qiao... I can't believe you disobeyed me. Why do you intend to do this, everytime, I tell you not to? Every night." He said and sighed.

" Sun Jian, Zhou Yu is out there somewhere. I really need to see him. I miss him! Why can't you just let me go!" She said. " Xiao Qiao! You could have been killed! Why the hell else would I've kept you here! I told you that everytime for the past month." He yelled. The conversation went on and on till she was out of words and breath. Instead she left the room, by heading back to her room.

"Now that wasn't nice," Gan Ning said. "We need Zhou Yu. Let's face facts here, Pretty Boy is smart and without him we have no tactician no battle plan. Even though I just prefer fightin' without a plan many of his battle plans have worked." He bowed and walked away.

He found Xiao Qiao's room and knocked on the door.

"It's me Gan Ning!" he shouted. "Let me in I need to talk to you!" He banged on the door. "It's important!"

He sighed using one word he hardly ever used, "Please?" He rolled his eyes. He hated saying 'please'.

Lu Meng kept quite the whole time while Sun Jian scolded Xiao Qiao, he didnt have any say in her punished ment, and her fate. He thought she was rather disrespectful. Gan Ning was right, we did need Zhou Yu. He followed him to Xiao Qiao's room. He just leaned against the wall next to her door. He looked at Gan Ning, Lu Meng thought he knew what he was trying to do."You know what your trying to do is wrong?" Gan NIng was planning to run away and try to find Zhou Yu, at least thats what Lu Meng thought. It was crazy, yet neccisarry. He just waited for Xiao Qiao to answer them.
